13 Companies to Receive Funding Through Florida Commercialization Matching Grant Program

January 20, 2011 — Boca Raton, FL – The Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research (the Institute) announced today that two Phase I projects and eleven Phase II projects in ten cities across Florida will share nearly $3 million in grant funding through the Florida Research Commercialization Matching Grant Program (FRCMGP) for projects ranging from the life sciences to advanced materials to energy.

GXHC raising $50M to fund medical device portfolio & new companies

South Korean firm invests $4M in BioHeart

SUNRISE, FL – Bioheart, Inc. (OTCBB:BHRT) has entered into an agreement with AnC Bio Holdings Inc., a South Korean biomedical company, and one of its U.S. agents for a $4 million equity investment. Bioheart has designated proceeds from the investment to advance the current clinical evaluation of its cell therapies for treating heart failure and related cardiac diseases. (more…)

Behrman Capital Acquires Atherotech.

Atlanta biotech firm Gliknik raising $3.9M for cancer, autoimmune treatments
